# What is the difference between the two types of trips: group and self-guided?

Here are the main differences between the two types of trips:

🔹 **Group Trip (GIR - Group of Pooled Individuals)**

A group trip means you join other participants on a set itinerary, on specific dates. Everything is organized for you:

- ✅ A guide or instructor accompanies the group.
- ✅ Activities and the itinerary are defined in advance.
- ✅ You share the experience with other travelers.
- ✅ Ideal for those who love friendliness and supervision.

🔹 **Self-Guided Trip (FIT - Fully Independent Traveler)**

A self-guided trip allows you to travel alone, as a couple, with friends, or as a family, without an organized group. You follow an itinerary designed for autonomy:

- ✅ No guide, but a roadbook or an app with all the information.
- ✅ You travel on the dates of your choice.
- ✅ You have more flexibility to adapt your program.
- ✅ Ideal for those who love independence and flexibility.
